Survey of DREs on Program Evaluation in Districts

posted Feb 2, 2014, 8:48 AM by Joe o'reilly
The Johns Hopkins Center for the Social Organization of Schools is doing a survey on evaluation in school districts. Since DREs are the people who do that work or oversee it, we were asked to distribute the survey through our mailing lists. We think the information collected will be interesting to DREs and informative to the field, so we agreed.
If you complete the survey Johns Hopkins will pay your membership to DRE for one year (either for 2014 or if you have already paid, for 2015).
If you have any questions just let me know.

Here is your invitation to participate:

I am writing to invite you to participate in a survey of District Research Offices regarding their experiences with program evaluation.

Your contribution to this survey will be extremely valuable as we seek to understand the factors that influence the use of program evaluation within LEAs. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary. All of your information will remain confidential. Data will be reported in aggregate and will not be linked to any individual respondent.

For completing this survey we will give you a year’s free membership in Directors of Research and Evaluation, and will also provide you a summary of results so you can benchmark your district to others. Please email Joe O-Reilly with your contact information for the free membership.

I hope you will choose to participate so that we can have a broader understanding of factors influencing program evaluation in school districts throughout the country.
